Maintenance of Zhongxun quartz stone countertops is relatively simple.
Maintenance of Zhongxun quartz countertops is relatively straightforward. As these countertops are composed of premium quartz sand and polymer materials, they feature a seamless surface with excellent chemical resistance, scratch resistance, and stain resistance. No waxing or polishing is required, and the product meets the demanding standards of hotels and kitchen countertops.
Daily care
Under normal circumstances, the countertop can be cleaned simply by wiping it with warm, soapy water. Polished quartz countertops are non-porous, so no additional surface treatments are needed to prevent penetration from wine, cooking oil, coffee, and other substances. In most cases, wiping with soapy water is sufficient to keep the surface clean. Afterwards, rinse with清水 and dry with a clean cloth to avoid the re‑appearance of stains. When liquids or food come into contact with the countertop during cooking, address the spill immediately.
For stubborn stains
Remove any remaining stains with a dry cloth. For spills, food residues, and stubborn grime during cooking, You can wipe away surface stains with a damp cloth, then apply soap or a strong dishwashing detergent evenly, and scrub back and forth with a cloth until the stains are removed. Finally, rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry. . Avoid using methylene chloride and any cleaning agents containing alkaline substances.
Heat resistance
Although quartz stone is more heat‑resistant than other countertop materials, all surfaces can crack due to thermal expansion and contraction caused by sudden temperature changes, particularly at the edges. For this very reason, using trivets and heat‑resistant mats can better protect your countertop surface.
Scratch resistance
Quartz stone is more scratch‑resistant than other countertop materials. Additionally, avoid letting knives, drill bits, or other sharp objects come into direct contact with the surface. Do not cut or chop directly on the countertop; always use a cutting board before preparing food.
Chemical resistance
◎ Avoid cleaners containing rosin oil, as they can leave a residual film. Rosin oil tends to attract and trap surface dust, ultimately reducing the cleanliness of quartz surfaces. ◎ Steer clear of highly abrasive or harsh cleaners, such as those used for ovens, grills, or high‑alkaline dishwashing and polishing agents (pH 8.5 or higher). ◎ Do not use any cleaning products or abrasives that contain soft or hard abrasive particles. ◎ Avoid cleaners containing xylene, toluene, potassium hydroxide, or caustic soda. ◎ Refrain from using color‑removing or furniture‑cleaning products that contain methylene chloride or trichloroethane.
