Release time:2026-08-13
Beijing Children’s Hospital is a leading pediatric medical institution in China. The building boasts a dignified and imposing exterior, and the hospital sees heavy foot traffic, necessitating stringent standards for material hygiene and durability.
The project extensively utilizes quartz stone for nurse station countertops, outpatient examination surfaces, public washbasins, and select wall areas in the waiting area. Hospital environments require frequent disinfection and wiping; quartz stone slabs are dense with no capillary pores, making it resistant to stain and water penetration. They can be repeatedly cleaned with various disinfectants and are less prone to bacterial growth, thereby meeting the stringent hygiene standards of healthcare facilities.
The outpatient area sees frequent foot traffic, making countertops prone to impacts and scratches. Quartz stone boasts excellent wear resistance and impact strength, enabling it to withstand heavy, high‑frequency use over the long term and reducing the need for costly renovations or replacements. Its clean, understated color palette helps alleviate any sense of spatial confinement, perfectly complementing the ambiance of a children’s hospital. Additionally, it can be custom‑shaped into curved or corner designs, making it ideal for specialized cabinet configurations such as nurse stations.
For public buildings like hospitals, which demand stringent hygiene standards, quartz stone strikes an ideal balance among hygienic safety, durability, and aesthetic appeal, effectively reducing operational and maintenance costs and providing a reliable material solution for healthcare facilities.
